We’re bursting with pride to announce that Benjamin Rodriguez, a Life Scout with Troop 104, has completed his Eagle Scout service project! Benjamin partnered with the Granada Hills Salad Bowl, a fantastic community garden center, to design and build a three-bin compost system. This incredible project will help the garden produce nutrient-rich compost for their plots, reducing waste and promoting sustainable gardening practices.

Turning Waste into Wonder
Benjamin’s compost system is a true testament to his dedication and hard work. He spent many hours planning, designing, and constructing the three-bin system, ensuring it was both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The system will allow the Salad Bowl to efficiently compost garden waste and kitchen scraps, creating valuable compost to enrich the soil and support healthy plant growth.

A Growing Legacy
This project is a significant step towards Benjamin achieving the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout. It demonstrates his commitment to serving his community and his passion for environmental sustainability. The compost system will benefit the Granada Hills Salad Bowl for years to come, providing a valuable resource for local gardeners and promoting a greener future for the community.
