Boy Scout Troop 104 had an awesome adventure! We went backpacking in Joshua Tree National Park. We set up camp in the Quail Wash Zone, surrounded by amazing desert views.

We hiked in the wilderness section where there are no maintained trails but we were prepared with our navigation to safely get to our campsite.

During the day, the weather was just right at 70 degrees. But at night, it got chilly, dropping to 38 degrees! Some of our water bottles even froze!

Can you spot it?
Our eagle eye Senior Patrol leader spotted a Desert Horned Lizard that blended into its environment.

Joshua Tree National Park is super cool. Did you know it’s named after the Joshua Tree, which isn’t a tree but actually a type of yucca plant? It’s true! The park is full of unique plants and awesome rock formations. Plus, it’s a great spot for stargazing!

After our adventure, we refueled with some delicious burgers at In-N-Out. Yum! Can’t wait for our next trip!
