Scout Troop 104 and Pack 104 had a fantastic Urban Hike to Little Tokyo! We kicked off our adventure at 8:30 a.m., meeting at the North Hollywood train station and riding the train to Little Tokyo Station. Richard Narumi, our guide from Troop 139, gave us a special tour of Little Tokyo, sharing stories and insights.

At the Japanese American National Museum, we explored fascinating exhibits with a self-guided tour. Lunch was a delight as we tried different Japanese dishes, with many scouts enjoying tasty Ramen. Our sweet journey to Fugetsu-Do for mochi and cookies ended in a surprise – some treats were sold out.

Boarding the train back to North Hollywood, we reflected on our day filled with lessons about public transportation, Little Tokyo’s history, Japanese cuisine, and the remarkable contributions of Japanese Americans. An unforgettable adventure for our scout family!
