From Friday, October 13th to Sunday, October 15th, the adventurers of Boy Scout Troop 104 set off on an incredible “Indiana Jones” themed expedition at Camporee. The troop was divided into two patrols, the Rolling Boulder and the Emerald Serpents, as they tackled six exciting challenges that tested their skills and teamwork.

The Emerald Serpents proved themselves as true marksmen, claiming 1st place in Action Archery and mastering the treacherous Cross the Jungle. The Rolling Boulder patrol showcased their skills, earning 2nd place in Action Archery and the Steel Challenge, and a commendable 3rd place in the tricky Dials of Destiny. They also raced to victory in the heart-pounding Mine Cart Racing.

In the end, the Rolling Boulder patrol secured 2nd place in the Overall Award, while the Emerald Serpents unearthed the ultimate treasure by winning 1st place in the “Gold Idol Weight.”

With 150 Scouts in attendance and fierce competition against 22 other patrols, the Camporee was a thrilling adventure. The best part? The Scouts themselves prepared scrumptious meals, including breakfast burritos filled with eggs, potatoes, and ham. For lunch, they savored ham tortas, and dinner brought sizzling steak tacos. Some inventive Scouts even whipped up cheese quesadillas with steak.

The “Indiana Jones” themed Camporee was a blend of adventure, teamwork, and culinary creativity, leaving Troop 104 with incredible memories. Kudos to our Scouts for their amazing achievements and culinary skills!
