Over the weekend of Saturday, November 4th to Sunday, November 5th, Boy Scout Troop 104 went on an awesome backpacking journey to Gould Mesa Campground in the Angeles National Forest. Two patrols, comprising of 10 scouts and 3 adult leaders, took on the adventure.

Our Scouts tackled the challenge of carrying backpacks through water crossings, discovering the importance of the right footwear. They learned the differences between water-resistant, water-repellent, and waterproof boots, ensuring they’re ready for any terrain. The trip also taught the Scouts about extra clothing and keeping sleeping gear safe from water.

Saturday’s lunch featured chicken and rice, followed by a tasty Ramen Bomb for dinner. Sunday’s breakfast included Grape Nuts with powdered milk and dehydrated fruit. On our return we stopped at In-N-Out for lunch.

It was an exciting weekend of learning, exploring, and
enjoying nature. Stay tuned for more adventures from Troop 104!
